Don’t get me wrong, I like the Internet lots. I’d even say that I’m fairly savvy in the online space. Certainly not an expert, but I’m aware of what’s happening out there. (one car ride with my brother, and you’ll be totally up to speed)

But one thing I can’t get into is this Twitter craze. I just don’t understand it.

My brother has a substantial Twitter following. He recently displayed the power of Twitter while we played a new board game (Settlers of Catan = best game ever!). We needed clarification on some rules, so he sent out a couple tweets. Within minutes, we had our answers. Very cool indeed.

But for most users lacking thousands of “followers” - I don’t really understand the point. I’ve quickly grown tired of people updating their status with shit I don’t care about.

You’re walking your dog? Who gives a shit.

You just ate an apple? That’s what your supposed to do with it.

You miss the beach? Great, well I miss playing with Legos. Do you care? Probably not. Just like I could give two shits about your longing for the sand.

I start to think about all the time people are wasting with Twitter, Facebook, etc. I have no interest in that, at all.
