I almost had a heart attack watching last night’s game. If there’s a team that could stage a postseason comeback, it’s the Red Sox. They’ve done it in 2007 (down 3-1 to Cleveland) and 2004 (down 3-0 to New York).
The Rays are a baby team. Average age is 25, I think? Can they shake off this ugly loss and keep playing like the best team in baseball. Or do they lack the seasoned experience needed to shake it off while the wheels fall off the wagon. But the biggest question is whether the Boston bats finally woke up.
Last night was the gutsiest baseball performance I have ever seen. Not the best comeback, or the best win, but the gutsiest comeback. 8 runs with 7 outs remaining!
Whhhaaaaaattt?!
Hats off to Coco Crisp, who had the at-bat of his career.
