I am such an idiot! My contacts fell out at work, and having no way to transport them home  - i emptied out a little pizza seasoning containter we had lying around the office. Nope - i couldn’t choose the oregeno or the powdered garlic - but i chose the container with the dried red chili pepper flakes. i rinsed it out, filled it with water and placed my contacts in it. brilliant idea right?  wrong.

fast fwd to the next morning when i place my contacts in my eyes and begin to scream like HOLY HELL! my eye felt like i was being attacked with knife-lazers. jaclyn just stared at me, as i was jumping around like a loonatic. i finally got the damn thing out. and no matter how many times i rinsed them off - the evil power of those red flakes were stuck in those contact lenses - which are now in the trash. :(
